War Now Appears Imminent

It is Tuesday, the seventeenth of February, 2026. Diplomats representing the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran held another round of negotiations in Geneva after the country’s slaughter of perhaps many tens of thousands of its own citizens in early January, under the backdrop of a rapidly growing buildup of American military assets across the Middle East. Just in the past 48 hours, we’ve seen a marked escalation both in the rhetoric and behavior of the IRI, including threats to sink US Navy vessels with anti-ship missiles, and a partial shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz; and the influx of American power, with around 50 fighter aircraft, including F-22’s, F16’s, E-3 and E-11 AWACS aircraft, an additional carrier strike group, the USS Gerald R. Ford, and numerous C-130, C-17 and C-5 cargo planes and KC-135 aerial refuelers in motion at the time of this writing. One third of the active US Navy fleet is now reportedly in region. All of this coming atop weeks of asset movement which began in January, when President Trump first voiced willingness to provide military support to Iran’s uprising. Upon the conclusion of negotiations today, Vice President Vance spoke with reporters on Air Force Two, indicating that Regime officials were not willing to recognize various demands set by the United States and showing little enthusiasm for the benefits of further talks. Earlier, we saw IRGC forces open fire on a crowd of mourners attending the funeral of a slain protestor in Abdanan, Iran, marking one of the most pronounced escalations of suppression against citizens witnessed since the situation on the ground calmed in mid-January, in the wake of the regime’s unspeakably brutal crackdown against protestors. Additionally, some evidence has filtered out of Iran in recent hours which would suggest martial law has again been visibly imposed, if it was even truly lifted in the first place.

All available indicators point to a large impending conflict, kicking off potentially very soon. Reports have been circulated suggesting officials at the Defense Department are preparing for sustained, “weeks-long” operations against the Islamic Republic, with the New York Times having said that extensive air and naval operations, and special forces raids are all being considered as options should the White House choose to move forward. From OSINT earlier, “It is fair to say that we have not seen this scale of military involvement since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.” What an onslaught of a year 2026 has already been.

In these most perilous of times, let us all think of the soldiers, sailors, and airmen, the most valiant public representatives of this country, whose lives will be at risk in this coming war; and of the countless others who will be working ‘round the clock to ensure operational success. Make no mistake, war now appears imminent, and it is no matter of levity. In a very much real way, counter to the online nature of our political life at home, the brave people of Iran, upon whom such terrific forces of aggression have long been aimed, have made clear their unbreakable intent to reclaim their destiny, and to be free from the regime repression; that great colossus of unholy evil in the flesh, that which has been a creature of torment to them, and the rest of Mankind for every one of the past 47 years. In the dark nights of January, it was a sea of their blood which was spilt for the furtherance of their own freedom; in fearless pursuit of restoring civilization to a nation which the fanatical mullahs attempted to forever revert to the dark ages. Every concerned citizen of a Western nation should heed the warning of 1979, and realize that the fate of Iran, is one which now beckons us all.

Many will say this is just another war for Israel being fought by the United States, and will predict catastrophe, protracted entanglement, and the waste of more lives and many more billions of dollars — but I will dissent. This coming war is inextricable from the fight which now consumes Western nations to restore the pillars of our own civilization, and if we are to honor that highest commitment to preservation and revival which sits now at the core of our own animations of this moment, Iran too must be allowed the opportunity to join us, and forge its deserved membership in the new Western Bloc. Forget the veiled misanthropy of the anti-war elite, and of the spook-chasing cadre of grifters at the right-most helm of our national “politics”, the time for America to reclaim credibility as a superpower is now. They are otherwise alone alone in this endeavor, and should we break our word now, and abandon those whom we pledged to protect, it will be yet another unforgettable stain on this country’s moral record, and another bloodied, turnt page in the sordid story of the Islamic Republic.
